Dr. Anthony Schiraldi, PT, DPT, CIDN

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Director of Rehab


Anthony graduated from Youngstown State University in May of 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and a doctorate degree in physical therapy. He also became certified in integrative dry needling in September of 2016.


Anthony specializes in manual therapy, including muscle energy techniques, joint mobilizations/manipulations, neurodynamics, and mobilizations with movement. Anthony has also taken multiple courses to become proficient in functional movement screens and treating the body as a whole, not just a specific area.


Anthony worked in the athletic training room at Youngstown State University for 6 years prior to starting here at Action Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation, Inc. This provided him with the hands-on experience of treating athletes and creating effective programs to help improve performance and prevent future injuries. In addition to having experience with athletes Anthony also has experience working in local nursing homes, rehab centers, and hospitals. This provided him with the experience of treating patients of all ages and pathologies.


Anthony currently lives in Canfield, Ohio with his wife Kelcie and two daughters, Lena and Maria.

Dr. Alexander Kauffman, PT, DPT

Alex graduated from Grove City College in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in molecular biology. He received his doctorate of physical therapy in 2018 from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as an advanced certification in spine rehabilitation from Pitt in 2020. Since graduation, Alex has furthered his education with numerous courses including the McKenzie Method, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, and Integrative Dry Needling.


Alex began his career at a sports medicine facility in Pittsburgh where he gained experience working with a variety of ages and activity levels, ranging from post-operative repairs and total joint replacements to sports-related and "weekend warrior" injuries. He also provided therapy services as part of a multi-disciplinary approach for those with chronic spine issues. He has continued to work in the outpatient orthopedic setting since relocating to Ohio, emphasizing an individualized combination of manual and exercise therapy to assist someone in achieving their goals. 


Alex currently lives in Boardman, Ohio, with his wife, December, and two sons, Avery and Finnley


Dr. David Polonus, PT, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy


David earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Youngstown State University. He is passionate about helping individuals improve their mobility, strength, and overall quality of life through evidence-based therapeutic practices. 


Outside of his professional commitments, David enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly hiking and playing disc golf. 


He is also deeply dedicated to his family and enjoys caring for his pets, finding balance and fulfillment in both his personal and professional life.

Scott Nord, PTA

Floor Supervisor


Scott is a 2014 graduate from Penn State Shenango. Scott has been employed with Action Physical therapy since August of 2014. 


As a clinician, Scott enjoys treating all patients and diagnoses but has increased interest in treating the lumbar and cervical spine, shoulder pain, and vestibular disorders such as BPPV. 


Scott currently resides in Hubbard with his wife Tori. In his free time, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife, hunting, fishing, and working on classic cars.  


Paige Bosworth, PTA


Paige is a 2011 graduate of East Liverpool High school and a 2019 graduate of The Kent State East Liverpool PTA program. She absolutely loves working in the outpatient setting because she gets to interact with a diverse range of patients every day. Paige has been a part of the Action team since February 2020. 


When she's not busy at work, you can find her spending quality time with her family, diving into a good book, or spending time in the great outdoors.


Skylar Fletcher, PTA


Skylar is a 2017 Crestview graduate and a 2021 graduate of the Kent State East Liverpool PTA program. Skylar currently lives in Leetonia with her boyfriend, Ryan, his daughter, Pax, and their dog, Tiki.  


She enjoys working in the outpatient setting due to the wide variety of patients and being able to help guide them toward their goals.


Skylar enjoys spending time outdoors, riding side by sides, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. 


Sydney Durbin, PTA


Sydney was a student here at Action Physical Therapy for her final clinical rotation and then she was hired on after she graduated from Kent State University in May 2022. She has a deep passion for helping others, She strives to provide the highest quality care to patients. Outside of work, she enjoys expressing creativity through art and painting. Building meaningful connections with loved ones is also a top priority.
